Cedar Springs Hospital’s treatment continuum includes TRICARE®-accredited programs for U.S. military service members, veterans and dependents.
We provide unparalleled treatment to service members, veterans, and their family members experiencing a variety of behavioral health challenges. Recognizing the unique stressors and experiences associated with military service, our facilities offer comprehensive and personalized care for issues such as PTSD, depression, substance use and complex trauma. Our dedicated staff, psychiatrists, and therapists, work closely with referring agencies and to ensure seamless communication and customized goals for service members. Our staff also provides high-quality care, programs and services to support veterans and family members in our tailored programs. To honor the sacrifice of these men and women and their families, we offer care for their psychiatric, emotional, behavioral, cognitive, substance abuse and post-traumatic stress disorders. These programs offer a setting for military members and family to discuss and face the challenges that may arise from the demands of military life.
Realizing that no single treatment works for everyone, we offer several intervention options for complex post-traumatic stress disorder. Upon clinical assessment, we may offer therapeutic intervention based on the concepts of eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, cognitive processing theory and cognitive behavioral therapy.
Professional referrals can be made 24/7 by phone or online form. Military members can also use these helpful links for additional resources.
For anyone considering the Patriot Support Program, I cannot emphasize enough how life-changing this experience can be. The program is structured to equip you with critical tools for both recovery and long-term mental health stability. The therapist is highly skilled in guiding participants through emotional exploration and cognitive restructuring, helping to uncover the root causes of addiction and mental health struggles.
Among the most impactful parts of my experience were the group therapy sessions, my individual counseling sessions and the overall treatment I received from the staff. The group sessions provided a powerful space for open discussion, allowing me to share and process my thoughts while also gaining insight from others on similar journeys.
One of the most empowering aspects of the program is that you are treated like an adult — you are given the freedom to leave the hospital daily for gym sessions, Alcoholics Anonymous® meetings, group outings and Friday night dinners. This level of trust fosters a sense of self-responsibility, reinforcing the idea that recovery is not about confinement but about learning to navigate life with new skills and healthier coping mechanisms.
Moreover, the staff is compassionate, professional and responsive to every individual’s needs. Whether it’s medical care, emotional support or basic day-to-day concerns, they handle everything with urgency and respect. The camaraderie among participants is another invaluable aspect — many of us formed deep bonds that will continue as a long-term support system beyond the program.
Ultimately, the Patriot Support Program is not just a rehab program — it is an opportunity to reclaim your life. The tools, relationships and insights gained here will continue to serve you long after the 28 days are over. If you are considering this program, know that it has the potential to change your life for the better — you will emerge stronger, healthier and more equipped to face the challenges ahead.
