Half Day Program

Half Day Program

Cedar Springs Hospital offers the Champions Program, a half-day partial hospitalization program for children (ages 2 to 11) and adolescents (ages 12 to 17). The goal of Champions is to elevate the child or adolescent to a safe level of functioning at home and in the community. This program aims to stabilize unhealthy behaviors before they require inpatient acute or residential psychiatric care.

The program’s multidisciplinary staff includes program assistants, master-level clinicians, registered nurses and child psychiatrists. Treatment plans are developed and regularly evaluated. This program encourages positive behavior psychiatric and psychological evaluation, medication management, parent support groups and family and group therapy.

Champions provide an intensive milieu for youth. The program runs 25 hours a week, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Transportation will be provided on a needed basis with approval of a completed transportation request form.
